Roof Rack Gas Bottle Holders

Four of our holders can be mounted to a roof rack or platform tray: the 2kg Roof Rack Gas Bottle Holder, the 3kg Base & Rear Mount, the 4kg Base & Rear Mount and the 4kg Stainless Steel holder. The 2kg model is purpose-built for roof platforms, while the 3kg and 4kg base mount holders bolt flat to your rack.

Yes. Every gas bottle holder in this range fits the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform, as well as most popular roof trays and platforms. Our 2kg Roof Rack Gas Bottle Holder also has custom attachment slots that let you mount it facing forwards, backwards or sideways to suit your roof layout, and the 4kg Stainless Steel holder can be fitted with our optional channel nut kit to bolt onto roof rack channel tracks.

We don't recommend it. A full 9kg gas bottle is heavy to lift overhead and adds a lot of weight up high, which can exceed your roof rack's or vehicle's roof load rating, especially off-road. For larger bottles, our 9kg gas bottle holder is best mounted to a tray, drawbar or rear wall. Always check your rack and vehicle roof load limits.

Yes. Every holder in this range has a lockable stainless steel over-centre latch, so your gas bottle stays secure from theft while mounted on your roof. The strap is reversible for left or right-hand latching.

No. Each holder is fitted with rubber inserts and pinch-welds that stop metal-on-metal contact, so your bottle stays quiet and scuff-free, even on long outback corrugations.
