The BBQ plate has a rich history dating back to the pioneers of this country. It originated from humble beginnings, using an old plough disk or a scrap piece of metal laid on a couple of rocks over a campfire to cook your food. Over the years, it has undergone various design modifications and innovations.
At Top End Campgear, we have spent countless hours gazing into campfires, leading us to create a BBQ plate that simplifies camp cooking. Our flat plate is thoughtfully designed with a half grill, half plate configuration. This allows you to grill delicious cuts of meat over the hot coals, imparting that delightful smoky BBQ flavour. Additionally, it efficiently allows excess heat to flow through, making it ideal for boiling the billy or using saucepans and frying pans. To prevent sausages and eggs from rolling off, we have folded the side and rear edges. Furthermore, we have rolled down the front end to accommodate large frying pans and facilitate easier cleaning of the BBQ plate.
The legs of our design are specifically crafted to easily stick into the ground, enabling effortless levelling of the plate. They also lock in the down position to ensure stability during cooking. When folded away, the legs securely lock, making it convenient to pack the BBQ plate back into the bag. Furthermore, we have incorporated a user-friendly handle, facilitating effortless carrying by a single person.
The Carry Bag is made with a sturdy 600D Oxford fabric, known for its durability and resistance to UV rays and water. This ensures that your BBQ Plate is well-protected while being transported.
